FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions Before We Get Started.
A few things worth knowing about who we work with, how we’re involved, and what makes Alchemy different.
What makes Alchemy different from a traditional food product development company?
Alchemy brings product development and commercial operations together. Rather than focusing exclusively on creating a formulation, we consider sourcing, manufacturing, cost, and operational requirements throughout the process. Our goal is to help clients build products that work in production and businesses equipped to support them.
Does Alchemy work with emerging brands or established food companies?
Both. We work with entrepreneurs preparing to bring their first products to market and established brands developing new product lines, improving existing products, or seeking additional commercial and operational support. The scope of our involvement depends on each business’s needs.
Does Alchemy only develop products, or can you manage ongoing operations?
Our work extends beyond product development. Through Alchemy Managed Operations, we support ongoing commercial activities such as production planning, supplier coordination, manufacturing execution, and operational oversight. We also support procurement coordination and cost optimization through appropriate engagements.
Does Alchemy manufacture the products it develops?
Alchemy is a development and commercialization partner, not a contract manufacturer. We help clients identify and work with appropriate manufacturing partners and provide technical and operational coordination to support the transition into commercial production.
Can we work with Alchemy for only part of the commercialization process?
Yes. Our services are structured around the needs and stage of each business. Some clients engage Alchemy for product development, while others need ongoing operations, procurement coordination, or optimization support. We determine the appropriate scope through an initial discussion.
How do we get started working with Alchemy?
Start by telling us about your business, product, and current challenges. We’ll discuss your objectives, evaluate where support is needed, and determine whether there’s an appropriate engagement structure for the work.
